Joana Lekia Nelson

Joana comes from a family of artisans and is a former art teacher. For nearly twenty years, she has been designing dolls, clothing, jewelry and handbags. Now she uses her talents and skills to create beautiful and unique handmade, recycled cloth, doll nativity sets for Ayindisa. Her cloth nativity sets are highly sought after and are composed of various recycled or sustainable materials such as wood, plastic, paint, fabric and hay. Each individual doll is a work of art in and of itself. We are proud to support her and feature her products in our store and online. She is very happy to be able to make a good profit, which helps supports her family and employ about twenty people in her homeland of Ghana.
