Dagando Dramani

Dagando Dramani, meaning, "You are a man," maintains his professional name, Peter Dramani and is our Director of Operations in Ghana as well as a talented drum maker and player from Bolgatanga, in the Northeastern region of Ghana. In 1996 Dagando migrated south to Accra, the capital city of Ghana looking for work. Since then Dagando has lived on the city streets struggling to make a living for himself and his family, until he found Ayindisa in 2006. Now Dagando is able to carve his high quality hand drums and woodcarvings from an established and secure workshop in the nation’s capital trade center, and does so exclusively for Ayindisa. He is now receiving the fair trade principled income he deserves for his hard work and he and is family no longer lives on the streets but in an apartment because of Ayindisa LLC.
